Guayaquil (Ecuador), May 16: A 19th-minute goal from Andres Chicaiza Morales gave Delfin a 1-0 win over Copa Libertadores Group B leaders Atletico Nacional and opened the way for both teams to qualify for the next round.

With only one day left before the closing of the group stage, Atletico Nacional from Colombia still leads Group B with nine points while Ecuador's Delfin has risen from the bottom to second place with seven points, reports Efe news agency.

With the group leader defeated in Tuesday's match, Chile's Colo Colo can climb from third place and also reach seven points if they defeat Bolivia's Club Bolivar at home.

Although Atletico Nacional changed their game plan in the second half, Delfin managed to take the lead with Chicaiza's goal. Chicaiza's shot found the right corner of the goal guarded by goalkeeper Fernando Monetti.

Monetti later shattered Delfin's hope for a second goal in the 39th minute when he pulled off a save to keep out Henry Canga's header.

Atletico Nacional's first opportunity came in the 57th minute when Gustavo Torres attempted a shot but failed.

In the sixth and final day of the group stage on June 24, Atletico Nacional will host Colo Colo and Bolivar will host Delfin.
