Tisfa 2018 – Toronto International South Asian Film Award

Toronto, Canada: Another Award ceremony coming up at Toronto including all the film lovers around the world; TISFA- Toronto International South-Asian Film Award is brought to you by Blue Sapphire Entertainment, Toronto’s one of the leading entertainment groups.
On March 31st 2018 at 7:00 PM, Mr. Ajeesh Rajendran - CEO (Blue Sapphire Entertainment) inaugurated the TISFA with the launch of their website and many colorful events during the function at Toronto. The attendees of the TISFA 2018 Launch included Mr. Manoj Karatha (Mega Sponsor of TISFA), Mr. Prasad Nair (President – Mississauga Kerala Association), Mr. Prem Arasarathnam (Chairman – Tamil Entertainment Television), Mrs. Raji Arasarathnam (Director – Tamilar Senthamarai), Mr. Viresh Mathur (Scarborough Business Associate Board Director), Mr. Vijay Sethumadhavan (CEO – Magnus Telemedia), Mrs. Anni Koshy (Innowave Media Inc. Director), Mr. Alex Alexander (Homelife), Dr. Sajeev Madhavan, Mrs. Subha Thampi Pillai (Film Producer), Mr. Ravi Atchuthan (Director cum Cinematographer) and many more.
Mr. Ajeesh Rajendran mentioned that this small step will be a kickstart for a big revolution in the near future and all the upcoming works of TISFA will be in line with the clear-cut vision of promoting culture with uniting the community. The choosing of the awardees are strictly based on online voting along with the final decision of the Jury. As an initial step in the first year of the award show, the online voting categories include both Malayalam and Tamil movies released in the year 2017 whereas the nomination category includes Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi movies. In the subsequent years, TISFA team is planning to include more South Asian Language films.
This year, TISFA is planning to include the movies released from Jan 2017 to Dec 2017. TISFA is also inviting short film entries from the entire North America to have included in the selection categories.
TISFA is indeed the very first award show in Toronto promoting and encouraging all the movie artists from an international playground of cinema. The award winners will be announced during a Press Club Meet at Cochin in June 2018. You will receive all the information about TISFA at www.tisfa.ca.
