US national admitted to Kerala hospital with injuries
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9: A 37-year-old US national, an inmate of the Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt, was admitted to the Medical College hospital here past midnight with multiple injuries. Police on Monday began a probe.
The state-run hospital said that Mario Sapota was brought to the hospital and was found to have multiple injuries on his body.
"After preliminary check up, he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and is currently under observation and is being treated. He is conscious and able to talk," said the release.
The police have started a probe into the incident.
On Sunday, President Ram Nath Kovind took part in the 64th birthday celebrations of Mata Amritanandamayi Mutt at Kollam, about 85 km from the state capital.
