Boxer Vijender Singh calls on Rajnath Singh
New Delhi, Aug 3: Beijing Olympics bronze medallist boxer Vijender Singh on Wednesday called on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at the latter's residence here.
Vijender recently clinched the WBO Asia Pacific super middleweight championship beating Australian Kerry Hope in his maiden professional fight in India last month.
The minister congratulated Vijender for his recent title win and wished him good luck for his upcoming fights.
Vijender, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP) in Haryana Police, turned professional last year and has won all his seven bouts.
