In a city known for fashion and style, this exhibition stands out not just for the selection of designers but also for the affordable range it offers.

ABsalut Style, to be held Taj Krishna Hotel on Friday, brings together young well-known designers from different parts of the country, who offer quality stuff at reasonable prices.

"Even though we are getting well-known designers, we are not asking them to bring very expensive clothes. Our clothes start from Rs 1,500," Archie Paranji told IANS.

Archie, known for creating beautiful ambience for high profile functions and events, along with Bobby Kandhari, a prominent stylist, are organising ABsalut, which entered its second year. This is their salute to the style.

The event brings a new and fun style of shopping with high fashion clothes, stylish accessories and quality lifestyle products.

Archie and Bobby don't select designers randomly but hand pick them to offer something different from other exhibitions.

The pick up good weavers and handloom designers which help in selecting clothes at reasonable prices.

"The clothes are easy to pick up. Plain but beautiful with lovely colours which make it different. It's totally designer without designer cost," said Archie.

Vinay Narkar, for instance, is an award winning designer who does Gadwal silk sarees with range starting from Rs 5,000. He doesn't put too much zari but does contrasting borders in same Gadwal technique.

Shravan Kumar, Wendell Rodricks, Suhani Pitti, Esha Amin, Roshini Chopra, James Ferrera and Aarti Vijay Gupta are among 50 designers who will take part in the day-long exhibition.

Organised three times a year, it offers clothes, jewellery, bags, shoes, home accessories and soft furnishings.

With its quality stuff and variety, the exhibition caters to different categories of customers that include celebrities from Telugu film industry and the well-known faces in Hyderabad's social circuit.

The exhibition also caters to the young.

"The youngsters don't find stuff at most exhibitions because they cater to sarees and salwar kameez. We have lot of western designers designing within reasonable range," Archie said.

Unlike cities like Mumbai and Delhi where people get reasonably priced clothes at many places and there are small designers everywhere, Hyderabad has only fancy designers and fancy boutiques.
