Golfer Lahiri finishes tied 71st in WGC-Cadillac

Continuing his
struggle, India's Anirban Lahiri carded five-over 77 in the final round
to finish joint 71st at the World Golf Championships (WGC)-Cadillac
Championship here.
Lahiri, current Asian Tour No.1, on Sunday had
four birdies on the birdies on the second, fourth, seventh and eighth
holes at the Trump National Doral golf course.
But bogeys on the
first, 10th, 14th and 18th along with a double-bogey on the third
marred her scoreline. He hit the lowest web when he carded a triple
bogey on the par-three ninth.
His four-day total was 19-over 307, same as Tommy Fleetwood of England.
Overnight
leader J.B. Holmes of United States wasted a five-stroke advantage and
lost by a shot to compatriot Dustin Johnson. Holmes carded 75 while
Johnson fired three-under 69 to rn away with the title.
Two-time
Masters champion Bubba Watson, who led by two strokes after nine holes,
finished third after hitting three bogeys on the back nine.
World No.1 Rory McIlroy carded a par-72 for his final round and finished ninth on one under.
