IPCNA honors Dr. Simi Jesto Joseph with Media Excellence Award

Edison, New Jersey: Dr. Simi Jesto Joseph received the 2025 IPCNA (India Press Club of North America) Media Excellence Award in the Television Anchoring category.
This award recognizes her outstanding dedication and excellence in the media field spanning over a decade. Her contribution as the host of more than 400 episodes of Asianet US Weekly Roundup and the creation of the popular segment “Life and Health” earned wide audience appreciation.
She began her television career as an anchor for Asianet and Flowers TV from Chicago. After gaining recognition as the lead host of Ormasparsham, a musical program on Kairali TV, she went on to anchor US Weekly Roundup on Asianet for over five years.
Professionally, Dr. Simi serves as the System Senior Director of the Nursing Innovation and Research Center at Cook County Health System, Chicago. She holds three fellowships and two doctoral degrees. Among her most notable accomplishments is being a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE)—one of the highest distinctions in U.S. healthcare leadership. She is also a Fellow of the National Academies of Practice (NAP) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP).
Her achievements include several prestigious awards, such as the ANA-Illinois 40 Under 40 Nurse Leader Award, the AANP National Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice, and the Top Nurse Practitioner Award in the USA.
Currently, she serves as the President of the Indian Nurses Association of Illinois (INAI) and the Joint Secretary of the IPCNA Chicago Chapter.
Dr. Simi expresses her heartfelt gratitude to Raju Pallath (Producer & Program Director) and Anil Mattathilkunnel (Executive Editor) for their mentorship and guidance in broadcast journalism.
She acknowledges that the pillars of her strength and constant source of inspiration are her husband Jesto Joseph and their four children — Aneena, Aiden, Aashna, and Ashish.
