Record 78,000 applicants to join ICE to support Trump deportation efforts
According to interim ICE Director Todd Lyons, a record 78,000 persons have sought to join U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in support of deportation efforts under the Trump administration.
In reference to a fresh hiring campaign that began last week, Lyons told Fox News, "Since we opened up, we have received nearly 78,000 applications."
We're searching and identifying folks who genuinely want to work for the government and in law enforcement. It seems like a fantastic method of hiring. We are now returning our rehired annuitants, who quit early because they were unable to carry out the law enforcement task," he stated.
