May 10 :
The Indian Consulate office has received reports of another case of a missing Indian student in the United States. A 26-year-old man from Telangana has not been heard from since he left his Chicago house on May 2nd. This programme was initiated earlier this year by Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi, who was a Master's student in Business Analytics at Concordia University in Wisconsin. The last time Ch Sadanandam spoke to Rupesh, according to him, was in the afternoon of May 2—via WhatsApp.

Amidst his efforts, he had claimed to be occupied. He went offline later on, and his father was unable to reach him thereafter, according to the father.

They had contacted Rupesh's roommates, who remembered him departing to meet someone who had arrived from Texas, according to the family. The family sought help from G Kishan Reddy, a Union Minister and Telangana MP. Reddy proceeded to write to the Ministry of External Affairs, asking the Indian Consulate in Chicago to assist in finding Rupesh.

The father claims that "the police over there aren't responding properly" on the family's missing person complaint that was lodged in Chicago.

As of May 2nd, the Indian student Rupesh Chandra Chintakindi has been uncommunicated with, which has the consulate quite worried, according to X. The consulate is reaching out to the Indian diaspora and law enforcement in an effort to find or reconnect with Rupesh.

In March, Mohammad Abdul Arfath, a 25-year-old resident of Hyderabad, disappeared. In April, his body was discovered in a lake near Cleveland, Ohio, in the United States. At Cleveland University, he was working towards a Master of Science in Information Technology degree.
