Indian and US Poets Connect Online for Concert Embracing Diversity

Poets from India and the United States reunite virtually for an inclusive concert . Poets and poetry lovers from all around the globe, including Chicago, gathered digitally on March 30, 2024, for an online poetry concert called "Kuch Apni Kaho Kuch Mere Suno," put together by Rakesh Malhotra and Anurag Misraraj. According to a news release, the event's organisers hoped that by bringing together people of different backgrounds and perspectives, they could celebrate the rich diversity of poetry and culture.

Poets with talent hailing from Mumbai and Varanasi in India, as well as Chicago, New York, and New Jersey in the United States. Among them were Priyanka Agnihotri, Raj Lally Batala, Anoop Bhargava, Nupur Govila, Anurag Misraraj, and Rakesh Malhotra. The show was hosted by Shilpa Kulkarni.

Eka, Roots to Hindi, USA Dramatech, Global Indian Diaspora, and Five Global Values all contributed to making this event possible.
We are deeply passionate about poetry. "Our love for our motherland remains young, even after living in the USA for over two decades," Malhotra is quoted saying in the press release. This sentiment is shared by engineers, technocrats, bankers, and entrepreneurs. "Kuch Apni Kaho Kuch Mere Suno is just one example of how we're dedicated to spreading awareness of our rich cultural heritage, language, art, and literature."
