Candidates from South Asian backgrounds are being endorsed by Indian American Impact for the 2024 elections.

The most recent wave of endorsements from Indian American Impact brings the total to 35 candidates for the 2024 election cycle.
During the 2024 election cycle, Indian American Impact has backed multiple candidates for different posts. Regarding the Tucson Unified School District Governing Board in Arizona, incumbent Ravi Shah has received endorsements. For Georgia's 48th Senate District, Ashwin Ramaswami has the support of his peers. Jeremy Cooney for New York State Senate District 56 and incumbent Zohran Mamdani for New York State Assembly District 36 are both endorsed. The Ohio office of Hamilton County Clerk of Courts has endorsed Pavan Parikh, while the Pennsylvania office of State Senate District 1 has endorsed incumbent Nikil Saval.
In the Texas race for state house district 76, Suleman Lalani had the support of Indian American Impact, Sumbel Zeb of Collin Central Appraisal District Board of Directors, Taral Patel of Fort Bend County Commissioner Precinct 3, Nabil Shike of Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 3, Ashika Ganguly of Austin City Council District 10, and many more.
Indian American Impact has been instrumental in the dramatic rise of South Asian and Indian American political representation since its founding in 2016, endorsing and supporting 166 candidates around the country.
Impact has mobilised voters and advocated for policies through grassroots activities and targeted investments, and has given over $20 million to candidates. These initiatives have given a voice to South Asian Americans and helped bring about real change in neighbourhoods all throughout the nation.
"South Asian Americans are ascending to positions of leadership in public service at an extraordinary rate," stated Taher Hasanali, national political director of Indian American Impact. We are pleased to announce our unwavering support for eleven Indian and South Asian Americans vying for positions ranging from city council to state senate in six different states.
Public education and expanding healthcare access are two of our community's top objectives, and these pioneers will fight for them. In addition to laying the groundwork for South Asian leaders of the future, their steadfast dedication will improve the lives of every American, he said.
