A library is established at the Kerala Center in New York

April 8 :
At the inauguration ceremonies held on April 7, 2024, at the Kerala Centre in New York, New York State Senator Kevin Thomas and Binaya Srikant Pradhan, the Consul General of India in New York, were present. Additionally, Dilip Chauhan, the New York Deputy Commissioner from the office of Mayor Eric Adams, was there.
Dr. Abraham was a pioneer of the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin; at the occasion, several prominent members of the community remembered his work. He has also worked on initiatives to promote India in the United States and advance cultural understanding and education. The Library, which will house a collection of books and historical records, is anticipated to serve as the new centre for research on the Indian diaspora.
The Kerala Centre, an Indian American cultural and civic centre, has grown into a hub for services and events catering to Malayalees.
