4.8 magnitude tremor rocks New York-New Jersey areas

New York: A 4.8. magnitude earthquake was reported in New York City and parts of New Jersey. It hit at a depth of five kilometers below Lebanon, New Jersey, at 10:23 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed.
The incident occurred just three days before the total solar eclipse. Many people inside and outside the city reported feeling the tremors. Buildings shook slightly.
People came out of their homes in Queens and elsewhere.
Community leader Thomas T. Oommen from Queens said he felt the bed move while lying down. Looking outside, many people were standing outside. Staff at several hospitals in the city also confirmed that they felt the tremors. Tremors were also felt in Rockland County and Bergen County, New Jersey.
People reported strong shaking throughout New York City, New Jersey and Long Island.
It's been days only since the earthquake wreaked havoc in Taiwan. Meanwhile, there is even a campaign going on in the Internet that the solar eclipse is a sign of the end of the world. Propaganda claims that there are seven 'Nineveh' towns in the path of the solar eclipse and so on. It is true that there are some cities in this region named after the biblical city of Nineveh. But experts say there is no point in taking it as a sign that something bad is about to happen.
