Hues of Joy: Gayatri Chetna Centre Radiates Vibrancy with Holi Celebrations

April 5 :
A lively and cheerful Holi Dhuleti event was recently held at the Gayatri Chetna Centre (GCC), also known as Gayatri Mandir. The centre was filled to capacity with more than 8,200 revellers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.

Priests from Shantikunj, Haridwar, and local devotees performed the Holika Dahan, also known as the Navanmeshti Yagya, to begin the festivities. To show their appreciation and devotion, the attendees offered the sacred fire newly plucked coconuts and crops.

People eagerly exchanged hues as Holi Dhuleti, also known as the festival of colours, unfolded. Local musicians and worshippers delighted the audience with traditional Holi melodies and songs. Guests assembled in the main hall for the evening's Aarti while the festivities continued, and then had a complimentary dinner (Maha Prasaad).

A symbol of Hinduism, cultural activity, and community service, the Gayatri Chetna Centre shines brightly. In the spirit of "Save the Planet," "Food Pantry for the Needy," and "Blood Donation Camps," among other programmes.
