Ravi Bhalla's candidacy for the US House of Representatives has been endorsed by Indian American Impact.

April 5 :
Indian American Impact has given its full support to New Jersey 8th Congressional District candidate and former mayor Ravinder Singh Bhalla in his bid for the US House of Representatives. Being the first South Asian representative from New Jersey to Congress, Bhalla's possible election would be a monumental event.
Bhalla was born to Indian immigrants and has experience as an attorney specialising in civil rights. After he changed the way the federal government handled prison visits, he became famous across the country. He was an active member of the Hoboken City Council fighting corruption and incompetence from 2008 to 2016. Then, beginning in 2017, he took on the responsibilities of mayor and was re-elected in 2021, a testament to his forward-thinking leadership and dedication to Hoboken's progress.
The national political director of Indian American Impact, Taher Hasanali, spoke highly of Bhalla's candidature, praising his history of fighting for equality and diversity. According to Hasanali, Bhalla has shown a strong dedication to our ideals via his work on justice, anti-discrimination efforts, and making sure that all New Jerseyans may live the American dream. He has shown his commitment to fighting corruption, changing regulations, and advancing communities via his work as a civil rights attorney and as mayor of Hoboken.
Bhalla thanked Indian American Impact for their endorsement and highlighted the group's work to increase governmental diversity and inclusion. He spoke with their conviction that diversity is strength and that immigrant communities enrich America. I am incredibly grateful to have the support of Indian American Impact, a group that fights for greater inclusion of underrepresented groups in government hiring practices. I share the belief of Indian American Impact that the United States of America is stronger because of its diversity and that each influx of immigrants brings new perspectives and experiences to our country. That is what sets us apart," Bhalla remarked.
