Facebook's first female engineer co-founds Silicon Valley startup, expanding operations into India.

March 30 :
Silicon Valley-based startup South Park Commons (SPC), co-founded by Ruchi Sanghvi and Aditya Agarwal, pioneers its expansion into India in collaboration with Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal. SPC, renowned as a community fostering innovation and collaboration among technologists, embarks on its Indian venture while simultaneously strategizing its expansion into New York.

Binny Bansal, in a tweet, expresses his enthusiasm for partnering with Sanghvi and Agarwal, highlighting their mission to support Indian startups in their nascent stages.

This move aligns with Bansal's departure from the Flipkart board earlier this year due to conflicting interests with his new venture. Notably, Bansal's entrepreneurial journey extends beyond Flipkart, encompassing investments in startups like VideoVerse and Curefoods, and the establishment of XTo10X Technologies aimed at aiding startups in their initial growth phases.

Sanghvi, recognized as Facebook's first female engineer, initiated SPC in 2016, transitioning from a learning community to a venture backing early-stage entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, Agarwal's expertise, previously as the CTO of a file-sharing company, enhances SPC's strategic vision.

Discussing their Indian venture, Agarwal emphasizes India's dynamic entrepreneurial landscape, offering immense potential for technological innovation. Additionally, they contemplate expansion into the UK to tap into diverse global markets.

Agarwal's role extends beyond SPC, serving as an advisor to ADL (Adani Digital Labs), contributing insights from his tenure as Flipkart's lead independent director. This strategic move signifies SPC's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship worldwide
