Saudi model Rumy Al-Qahtani participates in the Miss & Mrs Global Asian competition

This week in Malaysia, the second Miss & Mrs Global Asian beauty pageant saw the participation of Saudi model Rumy Al-Qahtani.

As per the model, this was the first time the Kingdom participated in the pageant.

The Filipino Dyan Shane Mag Abo made the claim to the title of Mrs. Global Asian 2024. Mag Abo received the crown from previous year's champion, Bornean model Kimi Tomas.

Singapore's Jesseca Long won the title of Miss Global Asian 2024. Miss Global Asian 2023 Gliyam Cundangan of the Philippines presented her with the crown.

Al-Qahtani provided updates on her pageant looks to her 870,000 Instagram fans during the competition, which concluded on January 27.

She changed into a wide variety of outfits, from athletics to traditional Saudi dress to exquisite gowns.

Al-Qahtani wrote in a post, "It is an honour to compete in the Miss Asia International 2024 competition held in Malaysia."

In this year's pageant, twenty-five participants representing twelve countries and territories—Australia, Borneo, India, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Malaysia—competed.

The competition took place at the Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur and was coordinated by Tiara Management and Leading Management.

Joanne Lam of Malaysia was crowned the 2024 Mrs. Classic Global Asian. Chihiro Kobayashi from Japan was the first runner-up, followed by Rosalinda Busrah from Borneo in second place, and Cikta Anori from Malaysia in third place.

The participants received several accolades. Lam was awarded Mrs. Global Aura Ambassador, Darling of the Crowd, and Best in Interview; Mag Abo was given Best in Evening Gown, Best in Catwalk, Best in National Costume, and Popular awards; Anori was given the Congenial Award; Annie Liew from Borneo was given the Photogenic Award; Usha Rathod from India was given the Beautiful Body Award; and Chihiro Kobayashi from Japan was given the Best in Welcoming Dinner Outfit and Social Media awards.
