Proud Moment For Global Indian Council: GIC’s debut film “The Foot Prints†gets 6 awards in various categories from Mumbai International Film Festival.

The film "Pairom -Ke-Nishan," the Hindi version of "The Foot Prints" executed by the Global Indian Council (GIC) short film touching the life of Mahatma Gandhiji which screened in the Mumbai International Film Festival, bagged six awards wide spreading GIC's name as its first successful project. "This is among the few films which were screened out of 126 films that participated in the Festival and we have proud moments for the great achievement of the organization. We are taking the opportunity to congratulate the Producer/Sponsor Babu Rajan, an award-winning businessman from Bahrain who is one of the founding members (and brand ambassador of GIC), Director Thulasidas, Script Writer Prof. KP Mathew, Media Advisors Dr. Mathew Joys and Janeesh Jajikalayam, actors such as Mr. Paul George (acted as Gandhi), music director, cameramen, assistants, coordinator, and the entire team". Global President Mr. PC Mathew, Gen Secretary Sudhir Nambiar, and Treasurer Tara Sajan stated in a joint statement today on behalf of the Global Cabinet and Executive Council of GIC.
The cabinet of the Global Indian Council comprises nine (9) members, such as Global President Mr. PC Mathew, Gen. Secretary Sudhir Nambiar, Treasurer Tara Sajan, VP Prof. Joy Pallattumadom, Associate Secretary Adv. Yamini, Compliance Officer, Adv. Susan Mathew, PRO Adv. Seema Balasubramanyam, Dr. Mathew Joys, and Goodwill Ambassador Jija Madhavan Hari Singh as an advisor. There are 22 centers of excellence in various areas chaired/cochaired by well-qualified and reputed personalities and more than one hundred founding members from different parts of the world.
The short film won awards for best Hindi Short Film and for Best Script, Direction, Photography, Music, and Actor. Mr. Paul George is from Alleppey one of the districts of Kerala State, India. Professor KP Mathew a retired professor from SN College, Mulakkazha, Kerala is a well-known novelist from Kaviyoor, Thiruvalla.
GIC President PC Mathew, the cabinet, and Goodwill Ambassador Jija Hari Singh thanked Babu Rajan, Prof. KP Mathew, Thulasidas, Prof. Abraham Varghese, Dr. Jacob Punnoose, Sandeep Thulasidas, the owner of Thiruvalla Ilamon Mana and the entire GIC founders and supporters. PC Mathew and Jija Singh played minor roles in the short film, which was a great experience, and were eagerly awaiting to release of the short film, which was released at the festival in Mumbai.
The awards will be presented in the grand Award Function held on 20 Nov.2022 at Mumbai Entertainment International Film Festival, C.M.Gandhi Auditorium, SMT.K.C.Gandhi School, Gandhi Bagar, Kalyan west, Mumbai.The Producer Sri. Babu Rajan will receive the award and memento for the best Hindi short film on behalf of the Global Indian Council. Prof. KP Mathew, Thulasidas, and Janeesh are already at the location to receive the awards directly.
Prof. Joy Pallattumadom, the Global V.P of GIC, who presided over the switch on ceremony of the production of this film, held at Elamon Mana Thiruvalla, congratulated the entire production team including the Director Thulasidas, Script writer Prof. K.M Mathew, actors, actresses, the brilliant technicians, and supporting staff, whose team work made this film project possible within a record short period.
GIC General Secretary Sudhir Nambiar commented that this short film of 45 minutes duration will be a milestone on GIC's path towards excellence.He congratulated the crew behind this along with the GIC Cabinet and Founders.
Tom George Kolath GIC Cabinet Member and well-known film producer, stated that today the people behind this project made the GIC family so proud. He wished this short feature film “The Footprints†would touch many people’s hearts.
