Lulu to set up 500 crore food processing park in Greater Noida

LUCKNOW: Middle East retail and food processing major LULU Group today announced the setting-up of their 100% export-oriented Food & Agri-produce Processing Park in Greater Noida. At a formal function held at CM Yogi Adityanath’s office in Lucknow, the Land Allotment Order for 20 acres was handed over to Lulu Group Chairman Yusuffali MA by Narendra Bhoosan, CEO Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority in the presence of CM Yogi Adityanath, Lulu Group Executive Director Ashraf Ali MA and other top officials.

Yusuffali briefed the CM about the various details of this world-class facility which will be a great support to the agriculture sector of UP as Lulu group will be procuring and exporting approx. annually 20,000 tons of local fruits & vegetables to their hypermarkets around the world. Yogi Adityanath unveiled the prototype of the proposed facility which is expected to start operations in 8 months with a turnover of Rs. 3,000 cr.

“We will be directly sourcing from the farmers of Uttar Pradesh, ensuring better revenues for the farmers” added Yusuffali.

Rs. 500cr will be the initial investment in setting-up of this state-of-the-art unit and it is expected to generate direct employment for 700 people and indirect employment for approx. 1,500 people.

LULU MALL LUCKNOW GETTING READY FOR LAUNCH IN APRIL

Yusuffali MA also informed that the Rs. 2,000 cr. Lulu Mall with the largest hypermarket is in the final stages of completion and will be inaugurated in the first week of April 2022.

The 22 lakh sq. ft. shopping mall at Amar Shaheed Path will have 220 national & international brands, World-class Family Entertainment center, a 3A000 capacity food court & restaurants offering global cuisine, 11 screen PVR Cinema with a total parking capacity of 3,000 including a separate parking building.

“We had to delay the project by 1 year due to the COVID related challenges, but I am very upbeat about the current business scenario and the pro-development vision of UP govt. and I am sure this will be a landmark shopping & leisure destination in this part of India. Once completed the Lulu Mall will employ more than 5,000 directly while another 10,000 people will get indirect employment” said Yusuffali MA.
