Rudy Giuliani has been suspended from practicing law in the state of New York

According to a court document, Rudy Giuliani has been barred from practicing law in the state of New York for making false comments concerning the 2020 election.

A New York court decided that Giuliani made "demonstrably false and deceptive statements to courts, legislatures, and the general public in his role as former President Donald J. Trump's counsel."

"These false assertions were made to inappropriately enhance respondent's argument that his client's win in the 2020 US presidential election was stolen from him due to widespread voter fraud," the court wrote.

"We determine that respondent's behavior poses an imminent threat to the public interest and that he should be temporarily barred from practicing law until the outcome of the Attorney Grievance Committee's investigation.
