Kannada actor Dhruva Sarja, wife test positive for COVID-19

As Bangalore is completely locked down due to the surge in coronavirus cases, a Sandalwood actor and his wife has been now tested positive for the pathogen. According to reports, young Kannada star Dhruva Sarja and his wife Prerana has been tested positive for coronavirus, and it has literally sent shockwaves in the industry.

Sandalwood in a state of shock


Dhruva Sarja is the nephew of South Indian action king Arjun Sarja, and he is the younger brother of actor Chiranjeevi Sarja who died last month due to heart attack. After being tested positive with coronavirus, Sarja has requested everyone who was in touch with him to get the test done immediately.

“My wife and I have both been tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms and hence chosen to get ourselves hospitalized. I’m sure we’ll be back all fine! All those who were in close proximity with us please get yourselves tested and remain safe,” tweeted Sarja.

A few days back, Mandya MP Sumalatha, a popular Kannada actress was also tested positive for coronavirus.

Dhruva Sarja: A star in the making

Dhruva Sarja made his acting debut with the movie Addhuri, which was released in 2012. The film garnered acclaim from audiences and critics, and the actor won the SIIMA award for the best debutante. Later, he acted in some noted movies that include, Bahaddur and Barjari.

Sarja is now awaiting the release of his upcoming movie Pogaru, which is being directed by Nanda Kishore. The film is expected to be a high-voltage action thriller, and it will feature Rashmika Mandanna romancing Sarja. An official announcement regarding the release date of the film will be made soon after the coronavirus chaos ends.
