Revoke DA freeze, suspension of EL encashment: Stalin
Chennai, April 28
he Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President M.K. Stalin on Tuesday urged the Tamil Nadu government to revoke its order freezing Dearness Allowance (DA) and suspension of Earned Leave (EL) encashment for its employees and others.
He said the AIADMK government should "pressure" the Central government to get its share of funds.
In a statement, Stalin condemned the Tamil Nadu government's action to freeze the DA and suspension of EL encashment.
He said at a time when its employees are deployed on Covid-19 duty, the government "did not realize that such acts would discourage the staff".
Stalin said nobody can accept such actions by the Tamil Nadu government which just followed the Central government's move.
