Muslim organisations protest on CAA in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, Dec 19: Hundreds of people belonging to different Muslim organisations on Thursday staged a protest outside the Jama Masjid in Sector 20 here against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Police have detained several protesters while the situation remained tense.

Owing to the protests, commuters were badly hit due to closure of the roads.

Similar protests were held in Ludhiana city.
