It is this youngster of those days who has become the Country Head of Star and Disney India today.

This story happened many years ago. A young officer was transferred from Kerala to a branch in a North Eastern state by the Federal bank. When a senior bank official visited the North Eastern branch, he was surprised to see the young Malayali officer not in his usual dress but attired in the local costume, sporting even a feather cap. He was simply rising up to his bank's famed slogan; "Think globally, act locally....".

The young officer was fortunate to get a transfer back to his home state next year. Not just to his state, but right to his home village. His family and friends were elated. The senior manager of the branch told him how lucky he was to get a posting to an office so close to your home where you can go every day for lunch! But the youngster's response stunned the senior. "Sorry, I don't need this luck, sir. Please recommend to get me a posting to Bombay in the next round of transfers..".

The long journey that the young man had begun from the tiny Vadakara railway station to Bombay is continuing even today like the never-ending railway tracks. It is this youngster of those days who has become the country head of Star and Disney India today.
