Chicago, IL: Sunday November 24th, 2019. Federation of Indian Associations Chicago, (FIA) with its President Ninad Daftari, Founder President Sunil Shah, Founder & Past President Onkar Sangha and incoming President 2020 Gurmeet Singh Dhalwan along with the executive team, all board members, the advisory board, family and friends of all FIA members (including seniors and children) which totaled to over 100 people who volunteered for “Feed My Starving Children” (FMSC) on Sunday November 24th at Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center.

At this event FIA Members and their friends and families helped pack 587 boxes which included approximately 126,792 meals which will feed 347 children for a year.

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.

FMSC meals are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. Nutrition allows children to grow, thrive and develop to their full potential. FMSC serves meals in over 70 countries and over 1 billion children have been fed.

Many members of FIA also donated to FMSC. The cause of FMSC is great and the whole FIA team felt that this holiday season we need to give back to the community and how better to give back then to help the children.

This was a very successful event and FIA promised to continue serving the community with many such upcoming events in the years ahead.
