How movement was relaxed stepwise by government in Valley

The Centre on Monday told the Supreme Court that Section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure have been relaxed in 88.57 per cent police stations of the Kashmir Valley.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told a bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi that Section 144 have been eased in 93 out of 105 police stations of Kashmir division as well as all 90 police stations in Jammu division and in all seven police stations of Ladakh division.
The court was hearing various petitions related to the issue including seeking relaxation of movement in Jammu and Kashmir.
On August 5 when Article 370 was abrogated, Section 144 was imposed in the Valley.
A government document details on the day-wise easing of Section 144 under CrPC which curtails public movement and barred people from holding any kind of public meeting or rally.
However, restrictions to public movement were eased on August 5 in all seven police stations in Ladakh division while relaxation began in eight police stations of Jammu division from August 8.
It was increased to 58 police stations on August 15 and 77 police stations on August 17 in Jammu division. On August 23, relaxation was given in 84 police stations of Jammu division. On August 29, the public movement has been relaxed on all 90 police stations of Jammu division.
The restrictions started easing in the 35 police stations of Kashmir division from August 17. On August 18, this figure reached to 50 police stations. And on August 27, the government has given relaxation to public movement in 81 police stations in Kashmir division.
On September 9, Section 144 have been eased in 93 out of 105 police stations of Kashmir division.
