Advani reaches Shimla for week-long sojourn

Shimla, June 22 Former Deputy Prime Minister and veteran BJP leader L.K. Advani, accompanied by his daughter and other family members, on Saturday arrived here on a seven-day private visit to Himachal Pradesh.

On his arrival at the Annadale helipad, he was received by state Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh, Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar, Transport Minister Govind Thakur and state BJP President Satpal Satti, among others.

Advani will be staying in the newly-built ITC Hotel in Mashobra, some 10 km from here, a government official told IANS.
