Scholarship Program for Diaspora Children (SPDC)

New York June 14, 2019: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India offers 150 scholarships to the children of People of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Non-Resident Indian (NRIs) for pursuing undergraduate courses at specified institutions in India, under ‘Scholarship Program for Diaspora Children (SPDC)’ program.

2. Under this scholarship program, the MEA provides financial assistance to students selected under SPDC covering up to 75% of the total Institutional Economic Costs (IEC) subject to maximum of USD 4000.

3. Details for SPDC scheme along with the specified institutes and courses covered for the academic session 2019-20 are now available at SPDC portal :www.spdcindia.gov.in. All interested candidates are requested to visit the SPDC portal for more details.
