Hindu temple complex planned on 17 acres in Massachusetts

Land has been acquired for Sri Shiva Temple in Bellingham (Massachusetts), work on which will start in the upcoming spring, reports suggest.

According to reports, it will be built in two phases, and when completed, it will have the sanctuary, community hall, classrooms, staff residences, etc. A stream passes through the temple complex and the temple aims to preserve the wetlands. In addition to various services offered by the current temple; the upcoming temple will also provide lessons about religion, various languages of India, music, dance, etc.

Meanwhile, distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, commended efforts of temple leaders and area community towards realizing this temple complex.

The current temple, Boston Sri Kalikambal Shiva Temple in Bellingham opens daily, offers worship services, celebrates festivals, conducts Sanskrit classes, awards scholarships, etc. Mangalam Sambamoorthy is Temple President, while Sivachariar Bhairavji is the Priest.
