Munich, Nov 8: Bayern Munich beat AEK Athens 2-0 with two goals from Robert Lewandowski in a match in which, despite the victory, the German giants again showed that it is not going through its best moments.

The first chance was for AEK with a slightly deflected header from Lampropoulos after a corner kick in the fifth minute on Wednesday night, reports Efe.

Two minutes later Bayern also came close, with Leon Goretzka's header from goalkeeper Vasilios Barkas resulting in a corner. But the fact that AEK had attacked first, and forcefully, was an inclination of the problems Bayern were going to have in the first half hour.

Bayern had difficulty to score, Goretzka's header was an exception in the first phase of the match, and when AEK had the ball, Bayern's recovery work did not seem ideal.

In the 30th minute there was a struggle within the penalty area between Cosic and Lewandowski as Kimmich delivered a corner, the Polish star fell to the ground and referee Matej Jung sanctioned a penalty.

Lewandowski took the charge and didn't fail. The goal seemed to give some tranquility to Bayern who began to combine better in their attack.

In the 71st minute, a corner kicked by Kimmich from the left reached Lewandowski at the second post and he scored his 2nd goal with his right leg.
